What this website does not do

This website sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking tools and embeds no third-party content. Fonts, images and stylesheets are served from my own web space. The website also enforces this technically: its Content Security Policy only allows the browser to load content from handabdruck.it.

Hosting and server log files

This website is hosted by Uberspace (Jonas Pasche, Kaiserstraße 15, 55116 Mainz, Germany). When you visit it, the server processes technically necessary data: your IP address, date and time, the requested address, the amount of data transferred, the HTTP status code, and your browser and operating system (user agent).

Your IP address is only stored in shortened form: the first 16 bits of an IPv4 address and the first 32 bits of an IPv6 address are kept, the rest is set to zero. For example, 82.98.87.93 becomes 82.98.0.0 and 2a02:2e0:3fc:52:0:62:5768:38 becomes 2a02:2e0::. As a rule, an entry can then no longer be linked to an individual person.

This is necessary to deliver the website and to detect attacks and errors. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in secure and reliable operation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log files are deleted automatically after seven days. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Uberspace.

Contact by email or phone

When you write to me or call me, I process your details (such as your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message) to answer your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request concerns an engagement or its preparation, and otherwise my legitimate interest in answering you (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

I delete your data once it is no longer needed. German commercial and tax law requires me to keep business correspondence for up to ten years (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO).

Booking appointments and video calls

The “book an appointment” link leads to Proton Calendar, a service of Proton AG, Route de la Galaise 32, 1228 Plan-les-Ouates, Switzerland. Only when you book an appointment there does Proton process the details you enter (such as your name and email address), so that I can arrange the appointment with you (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The European Commission has found that Switzerland provides an adequate level of data protection. Details are in Proton’s privacy policy.

For video calls I use Whereby, a service of Whereby AS, Gate 1 nr. 101, 6700 Måløy, Norway. When you join a call, Whereby processes the data this requires, including your IP address, the name you enter, and video and audio during the call. Norway is part of the European Economic Area, where the GDPR applies. Details are in Whereby’s privacy policy.

Links to other websites

This website links to LinkedIn, Credly and the Economy for the Common Good, among others. As long as you don’t click such a link, the provider learns nothing about your visit. Once you click, the provider’s own privacy policy applies.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20), and to object to processing based on legitimate interest (Art. 21). You can withdraw any consent at any time with effect for the future. An email to sebastian@handabdruck.it is enough.

You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the Bavarian State Office for Data Protection Supervision (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany, www.lda.bayern.de.

No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
